San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation

San San Matte Finish Liquid Foundation

Hey Loves!

So here's my review on San San's Matte Finish Liquid Foundation. I've been meaning to put this up for a while now but never really got around to actually posting it. This is not a new product from San San and has been on the shelves of HBC outlets for a long time. But, it is my first time buying this product. In Robinson's Metro East HBC outlet, this product comes in 4 shades, 01 being the lightest and 04 being the darkest. But in some store outlets they offer up to 5 or 6 shades. I think this product cost around P 232. Not quite sure since I threw out the receipt. hihihi.. Me's Sorry :))

First Impressions:

-I like the packaging. Its made out of glass and has a twist-on spatula as it cap for easy scooping product.
-The shade that I got is in the shade 03 and fits my skin perfectly!
-Has a smooth consistency and heavy to medium coverage.
-Small amount of product can go a long way
-This container amounts to 1.04 fl. oz/ 30ml of product

Turn offs:

-Has a strong coconut scent which I don't really like
-Might feel heavy on the face

Tips on usage:

-Use a small amount of product as a start and work your way up. This product is buildable but I suggest that one layer of this foundation is enough for a natural look and 2 to 3 layers for photo shoots or for night outs. The amount of product to be applied may also depend on your skin and also on the amount of coverage you want. Basically, if you want a flawless look, add another layer.
-Just to be on the safe side, use a setting powder so that it won't look oily throughout the day. Even if it has a matte finish, I still use a setting powder. Then again, It still up to you.

Overall:
I like the product and how it works on my skin, but hopefully, San San could change or minimize the strong coconut scent. Will I repurchase? Yes since it's affordable and does a great job in evening out my skin :))

That's all loves! see you in my next review! :**

Movie Review on Jack and the Giant Slayer

Hey lovies!

I'm back with another review.. but this time something outside of makeup and beauty. Its my Movie Review on Jack and the Giant Slayer.

Jack and the Giant Slayer
Just watched it a few hours ago with my friends at SM North Edsa. Actually, I didn't have any back knowledge about this movie and I only had a glimpse of the trailer. But the poster on the cinema area caught my eye, so I told me friends if we could watch it. We entered the cinema kinda late and sat way up in the front and sat on inclined chairs. It felt like we were watching it on 3D but it was actually 2D.

So moving on...
Graphics were nicely put together. The movie didn't give off any dark feel to it which is nice since I've noticed that most movies that are out already have been pretty dark. For me, the director did a good job in twisting the traditional story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The story basically centers on Jack who meets a Princess named Isabelle who is a descendant of a great king who stopped giants from destroying his kingdom and eating all  its townspeople. Flashback...The great king had this crown you see which has powers. Anyone who wears it will have the power and control over the giants. So having the crown he ordered the giants to go back up the bean stalk and to stay there. He then had his men cut down the beanstalk to make sure his kingdom would remain safe. Fast forward.. So Jack gets hold of some relic magic beans and accidentally get one of them wet.. leading to the growth of a beanstalk. (Who knew beanstalk could grow the fast! :O) Anyway.. Princess Isabelle gets stuck on the the beanstalk, taking her way up into the giants lair.

Detour...  The animated giants looked really gross and dirty. irk.. There was this scene where a giant cook was preparing food for the other giants.. He picked some boogers out and ate them and with the same hand scratched his armpit with his fingers and smelled it.. really?? irk..

Oh I forgot to mention, the antagonist in the story who is to be wed the princess, is plotting against the king by taking the century old crown that could control the giants and having them obey his commands of destroying the kingdom. So then, we have the usual fighting scenes and stuffs going on... bad guy almost wins then good guys triumph over the bad guys.

In terms of major character casting, I love how Nicholas Hoult from Warm Bodies gets to be the lead role in the movie.. aaahhh yes.. dreamy guy you are :)) And also, Ewan McGregor plays the reliable protector of the princess. Other casts includes Eleanor Tomlinson playing Princess Isabelle and Stanley Tucci as the antagonist. The movie didn't have a deep story-line but I really enjoyed watching it.

I was laughing and giggling and was at the edge of my seat towards the end of the movie. I had a good time watching this and it was worth watching! :)) Based on my whole movie viewing experience... 4 stars for me.

Last note:
If you guys wanna watching something interesting and adventurous yet funny at the same time.. I recommend watching this! :D That's it for now..

Love,
Lai

P.S. Nicholas Hoult is such a dreamy guy.. Those Eyes!!! hihi :))

Etude House Oh My God ! Dry Shampoo Review

Etude House Oh My God! Dry Shampoo
Hey Everyone!

Here's my review on Etude House Oh My God! Dry Shampoo. My sissy actually bought this product on November of last year for my birthday present. :D Thanks sissy!  I've been looking for a dry shampoo for ages now and when I saw this at Etude House SM Masinag branch, I was like "Finally! I need get this!"

So first impressions..
The product comes in a 50 ml aerosol bottle with a pink plastic cap. The front of the bottle is very eye catching for me since the images are in a comic form. Korean texts in the back and it also has small diagrams on how to apply the product.

For those who don't know what a dry shampoo is.. it basically removes the greasiness of our hairs natural oil on unwashed hair.. like second day or third day hair. So, the product has a very nice smell to it, which reminds me of a floral soap. The product itself is color white but is translucent upon application. This dry shampoo lasted for 4 months. Used it on second day and third day hair. Application of the product it really easy. Just take sections of hair and spray on the scalp 3 inches away. After application, just massage the product to your scalp to work in the product. It will absorb the the product in a few minutes and then style as you like.

What I don't like about this product is that it is rarely displayed at etude house here in Manila. And I would like to see a Bigger Bottle of this product from Etude House. Overall, I would repurchase this product and am very satisfied with it. Thumbs up!

Well that is it for me and until my next review!
